This is a regen valve that can speed up the extension stroke of your log splitter by up to twice the speed. It works by diverting the oil from the rod side of the cylinder to the base side of the cylinder instead of returning it to tank. It closes once the cylinder begins to build pressure to achieve full splitting force.
